Atlantic City is a place built off of the gambling business and one that thrives from it these days. It has been a gambling mecca since its first casino opened in 1978. It’s also home to many high-end stores, restaurants and hotels that can be found nowhere else on the East Coast.

In terms of choices for casinos, there are over 25 to choose from. Just like its name says, the Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa offers everything that you would want while on holiday for a relaxing gambling holiday. The casino floor is filled with games, and then after you can always catch a show there or go to the spa for some more relaxation.

Some of the world’s major poker players made their millions playing cards at the Taj Mahal (now closed) and Borgata. When you’re there, make sure to stroll along the 1000-foot-long pier and take in views of the iconic coastline and check out the world’s largest indoor water fountain display in the beautiful Caesar’s Shopping mall.

You can spend your holiday walking up and down the Strip, checking out the various attractions at each of the hotels. From Bellagio’s fountain shows to New York New York, there are so many casinos to choose from.

Visiting the hotels and looking at all the sights there, including the amazing shows — without gambling — is possible. We had fun visiting the Hershey’s Chocolate World, M&M’s Las Vegas, and the Coca-Cola Store complete with it’s small cafe where you can order Coke’s from around the world.

Very near the Las Vegas Strip is the NFL stadium, Allegiant Stadium, where the Las Vegas Raiders play. If you aren’t visiting when there is a game (get tickets in advance) you can always schedule a stadium tour to see the field, locker room, etc.

Also, for a bit of gaming without the gambling, be sure to visit the vintage Pinball Hall of Fame. It’s located on Las Vegas Blvd, off the Strip. They have a change machine onsite but bring your quarters if you have them. You will want to play all of these vintage pinball machines.
